Job Description

SUMMARY

The SLW Ambassador spearheads community-focused initiatives, ensuring alignment with First United's brand promise. Responsibilities include coordinating lobby events, conducting on-site education courses, and collaborating with local organizations. Internally, they drive new business growth through diverse activities while overseeing SLW Lobby Elements, stakeholder training, and community room calendars. As a liaison between the community bank, SLW Pillar Directors, and the marketing team, they receive support from the Community Bank President, SLW Team, and Retail Management.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strategic Thinker: Exhibits creative and analytical thinking abilities with strong storytelling capabilities and an ability to connect the dots. An exceptional ability to communicate the overarching SLW strategy, in a voice that's strong, clear, and focused. Strong business acumen. Ability to measure and then take conclusions from data and communicate and present actionable insights to leadership and business executives.

Comfortable in a team of team’s environment, taking ownership to participate in discussion with cross-functional partners resulting in a consensus recommendation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ambassador Duties
•Live and model our values and SLW pillars.
•Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
•Promote and educate stakeholders about the benefits of pillars and SLW.
•Create enriched, engaging, and educational events, elevating stakeholder engagement.
•Collaborate with Presidents developing a vision to implement local market SLW strategies.
•Manage Community Bank President's expectations, create monthly reports and communicate updates, milestones, and deliverables effectively.
•Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to achieve organizational goals.
•Help employees stay interested, inspired, informed, and involved.
•Act as a mentor and coach for Regional Love & Impact Council.
•Attend monthly meetings with internal partners.
•Coordinate logistics and manage coordination of SLW events.
•Communicate SLW initiatives, activities, opportunities to the Region through monthly newsletter.
•Plan, execute, and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
•Manage volunteers, including but not limited to events, CRFMs, and Love & Impact Council.
•Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
•Collaborate with partners to reach a broader audience with the SLW message.
•Attend community events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand FUB visibility.
•Cultivate relationships across diverse communities.
•Manage SLW Lounge and its’ offerings.
•Manage Community Room requests and setup.
•Management of incoming sponsorship and partnership requests.
•Assess and process donation requests. Request ad content, promotional items, etc. as needed.

•Travel when necessary.

Community Reinvestment Duties:
•Completes all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
•Stays informed about changes in banking regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance with and mitigate risks effectively.
•Partner with community organizations to provide financial literacy.
•Generates referrals from community leaders and business contacts to further grow the Community Bank’s customer base.
•Connect customers or prospective customers with appropriate bank representatives.
•Partners with Community Bank leadership in the implementation of an effective marketing program for their community bank.
•Host market events to target specific sectors of the community. (ex. Realtor luncheon, etc.)
•Documents calls, feedback, events, follow up with event attendees and outcomes in Synapsys.
Marketing & Media Duties:
•Manage the public image and brand reputation of the bank.
•Craft messaging, coordinate media relations efforts, and leverage various communication channels to disseminate information effectively.
•Develop and execute a strategic communication plan to build brand awareness, enhance public perception, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
•Act as local spokesperson with media.
•Support the execution of the Community Bank President’s marketing plan.
•Ensure implementation of bank-wide marketing efforts at local levels.
•Expand community engagement creating high visibility to local FB page and other social media.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES
• Successfully upholding or supporting Key Purpose indicator.
• Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department.
• Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
• Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field.
• Two to three years’ work experience in a related field.
• Sales or Marketing experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication abilities, sales, and public relations skills.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
•Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
•Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
•Excellent problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset and attention to detail.
•Ability to work with a diverse demographic range of people.
•Ability to work in a team of team’s environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Experience in event planning and coordination.
•Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends as required by schedule.
•Creative out-of-the-box thinking.
