Your Impact
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Specialist Software Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, research-driven environment and is excited to work on next-generation engineering platforms. You will design, develop, and maintain modeling tools and backend systems, contributing directly to the success of mission-critical software products.
Day-to-Day:
- Design and implement Java-based components using Gradle or Maven build tools.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests (e.g., JUnit) to ensure software reliability.
- Work with modeling concepts such as system or requirements modeling to support engineering workflows.
- Collaborate in an Agile or V-model development environment with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in daily standups, planning sessions, and code reviews.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and performance optimization of the platform.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Experience with build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
- Proficiency in writing automated tests using tools like JUnit.
- Understanding of basic modeling concepts (e.g., systems modeling or requirement modeling).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies or the V-model development approach.
- Fluent in Hungarian and English
- Availability to work on-site in Budapest at least 3 days per week (mandatory)
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Hands-on experience with modeling languages or frameworks such as SysML, UML, Capella, AUTOSAR, or EMF.
- Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience developing Eclipse plugins or similar modular desktop applications.
