This role is responsible for designing intuitive and value‑driven user experiences for Avient digital platforms.
This role goes beyond visual design and serves as a co-owner of user experience understanding, conducting in-depth research into user journeys, use cases, workflows, and contextual behaviours across Sales, Laboratory, and Customer touchpoints.
By translating sales-customer interaction scenarios, technical requirements and capabilities into simple and engaging digital interactions, this role plays a critical part in driving value, trust and adoption of the Avient digital platforms.
ResponsibilitiesRoles & Responsibilities
Own and design end‑to‑end experience of Avient digital products, from vision to execution
Conduct user research and present insights to stakeholders (e.g. Personas, Journey Maps)
Identify and validate user needs, connect with business value, and create user journey
Create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models
Observe and analyze real‑world workflows, decision points, and challenges, identify gaps between current user behavior (AS‑IS) and desired digital experience (SHOULD‑BE)
Ensure usability, consistency, and scalability across mobile and web platforms
Manage design systems
Collaborate with software/data engineers to ensure design feasibility and accurate implementation
Participate in backlog refinement and validation of delivered features
Regular engagement with global Sales, Technology, and Laboratory users
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital product design, UX design, UI design, or product design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric problem solving, research capabilities, interaction design, and visual design excellence.
- Experience designing complex enterprise, industrial, or B2B digital products.
- Strong process-mapping, journey-mapping, and workflow-design skills.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and AI-assisted prototyping tools.
- Experience working effectively in cross-functional, regional, and global teams.
- Practical understanding of the software development lifecycle through direct project experience.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
