The Role:
Ensure completeness and accuracy of transactions performed by the operations team.
Assist the plant finance team in implementing ESSA (Elimination, Simplification, Standardization, and Automation) for financial close and forecast processes.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in preparing month-end and year-end close processes, including expense reviews, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting schedules for journal entries.
Compile inventory reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Perform monthly cost center spending analysis.
Determine and compile manufacturing variances.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly management reports and Plant scorecard KPIs.
Extract, analyze, and report data using the SAP system to support business decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecasts.
Participate in year-end stock counts and cycle counts.
Compile commentaries for variance analysis (actual vs. forecast/budget), highlighting significant risk areas and suggesting proactive actions to address concerns.
Collaborate with other functional teams on routine and ad-hoc tasks and projects.
Perform ad-hoc activities as assigned by the superior.
What We Seek:
Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in accounting/finance.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in cost controlling in the manufacturing industry.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Good understanding of financial concepts and a general understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
Good understanding of, or skills with, financial planning and reporting systems. SAP experience is preferable.
Good written and spoken English.
