Job Description

The Global Supply Planner - Specialist reports to the Global Supply Planning Franchise lead or Global Supply Manager and he/she is a primary contact in Integrated Supply Planning for the assigned portfolio that consists of product families and/or external node(s) in the supply chain. The Global Supply Planner - Specialist is responsible throughout the Supply Chain Operational Planning and Execution of API, Bulk, Semi Finish Goods and Finish Goods to maintain the targeted supply to our customers and patients Leveraging the IBP governance, he/she understands the volume and constraint implications to internal and external sites in the supply network for the assigned portfolio. He/She proactively addresses, mitigates, and resolves the current and potential supply issues from short term up to 36 months horizon often in cooperation with various stakeholders such as Site Planners, Focus Factory (FFT) Lead or Demand Fulfillment. The Global Supply Planning – Specialist works closely with Product Leads/Value Chain Manager to support brand strategies and projects (for example: New Product Launch, Network Transfer and Portfolio Optimization). As part of Global Supply Management Organization, the Global Supply Planning – Specialist optimizes supply chain metrics.


The Global Supply Planning - Specialist deals with complexity, he/she applies knowledge and skills to his/her daily work and can take decisions jointly or independently. He/she contributes to the planning organization.


Responsibilities:

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supply Chain Management & Operational Execution

  • Responsible for an assigned portfolio with global scope and respective manufacturing and packaging sites (Internal and/or external sites). The portfolio complexity is assigned in line with the Job level and expertise, and it is based on different variables (such as number of skus, number of nodes in the supply chains, complexity of the CMOs managed, revenue, strategical products, ongoing projects)

  • Responsible for the planning activities of assigned portfolio and ensure accurate generation of requirements across the supply chain nodes

  • Actively develop scenarios to prevent, avoid and support the resolution of supply issues and potential constraints

  • Responsible for Exception Management for the assigned portfolio

  • Facilitate Global Events Management if required.

  • Escalation Management: effective communication flow and escalation in Tier process, using team huddles and SCEM tool (Supply Chain Escalation Management).

  • Active participation in the appropriate Tier level meetings (up to SC Huddle)

  • Responsible for Order Management activities

  • Review and maintenance of Master Data of Planning parameters

  • Inventory Management and reporting (Inventory planning, Days of Coverage (DOC), Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV), out of stocks, inventory health at each node of the supply chain)

  • Collaborate and manage various stakeholders such as Global Demand management, Regional Supply Planners, Demand Fulfillment, Value Chain Management (VCM), Site planners, Commercial (OCO), FFT lead, Finance and Procurement.


IBP

  • Actively participate, provide inputs and represent the Global Planning team for their respective portfolio in the IBP meetings (Site Supply Reviews, Franchise Review, Global Demand Review) and External Manufacturing platform meetings.

  • Support Profit planning and Volume planning

  • Allocation management in case of unbalanced demand and supply: accountable for allocation of API and bulk, and responsible to work out the allocation of Finish Goods supply to avoid supply issues to markets, in collaboration with Site planning, Commercial, VCM, Finance, Demand Management and Demand Fulfillment


Brand Strategy

  • Active member of the Value Chain Management team for medium and long-term product(s) strategy projects.

  • Support Strategic Initiatives/Projects related to supply planning workstream

  • Contribute to Network Changes/Transfers, and responsible for the supply chain deployment of the changes/transfers in collaboration with Product Source Management (PSM) if assigned

  • System disentanglement processes (Artwork mgmt., stability, Bill of Material (BOM) alignment, …)

  • Product Lifecycle Management (Launch / Discontinuation)

  • Support of BD deals and clinical supplies if required

  • Site Relationship Management 


Metrics optimization and continuous improvement:

  • Metrics such as LIFR, Plan Attainment/Volume attainment, Inventory/DOC, IQV Management and reporting

  • Support continuous improvement activities.


Professional Education, Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree on a related field (Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management)

  • 2+ years of proven experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/or Logistics

  • Strong communication, analytical and quantitative skills

  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering in a global environment.

  • Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy.

  • Strong data-analytical mindset

  • Coping with tight deadlines, proven resilience

  • Constantly apply Organon DNA Values

  • High proficiency with Microsoft software packages (Excel, PowerPoint)

    SAP S4/Hana or similar MPR software experience

    Experience of any BI Tools is preferred (Power BI, Qlick view...)

    Preferably: APICs (CPIM, CSCP)
