Job DescriptionAll great recipes start with the right ingredients. Become a Weighing and Batching Specialist operative at Matthew Walker!
At our Heanor site we are looking for 5 x Specialist Weighing and Batching operatives. This is a really physical role and involves transferring large containers of ingredients to and from mixers. These can weigh up to 140 kilos, pushing and pulling, so we are looking for candidates who are physically able to handle this type of work.
This is a fast paced environment , handling all raw materials including nuts (we are a peanut free site) and operating bulk delivery systems when weighing materials, as well as using scoops to weigh from bins.
Your role will also encompass operating the mixers once the raw materials have been weighed and tipped in to the mixers.
Qualifications
About you:
- No experience necessary – just bring your love for food and a dash of curiosity.
- You’re a recipe follower with a flair for precision – you know how to make a perfect mix.
- You’ve got an eye for detail, and you love seeing ingredients come together into something amazing.
- competency with data entry and numbers, as you will be entering details onto our recipe management system to show full traceability of the ingredients process
Not essential but nice to have:
- Food and Safety Level 2
- Health and Safety Level 2
Shift: weekly rota system that covers from 06.00-15.30 Mon-Fri.
Salary: £26,047.83pa
