IT Project Management Specialist
We are seeking an IT Project Management Specialist to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As an IT Project Management Specialist, you will partner closely with project managers, domain leads, sponsors, and PMO leadership to ensure initiatives are set up for success, managed consistently, and aligned to business value. This is a hands-on transformation role for someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, improve delivery practices, and help the organization focus not only on project execution, but on measurable value. This work will include implementation of AI for better controls and insights generation
We will count on you to:
Project Setup and Agile Mobilization
- Lead the setup and mobilization of new products, initiatives, and Agile delivery teams across the portfolio.
- Ensure initiatives are launched with clear business outcomes, product vision, governance, success measures, stakeholder alignment, and prioritized backlogs.
- Establish and maintain Agile mobilization standards, including roadmaps, backlog structures, release planning, governance, benefits realization criteria, and reporting expectations.
- Translate strategic objectives into value-driven product roadmaps and prioritized delivery backlogs.
- Assess initiative readiness by reviewing product strategy, backlog maturity, delivery capacity, funding, dependencies, and governance.
Portfolio Delivery Excellence
- Drive consistency in Agile planning, governance, reporting, and delivery practices across the portfolio.
- Develop and continuously improve delivery standards, templates, playbooks, and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct delivery health reviews to identify risks, reporting gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Coach delivery teams, Product Managers, and Project Managers on Agile delivery standards and PMO expectations.
Interim Delivery Leadership
- Provide interim leadership for priority initiatives during delivery leadership transitions.
- Stabilize delivery by maintaining governance, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and execution momentum.
- Ensure effective transition and knowledge transfer to permanent delivery leads.
Value-Focused Portfolio Management
- Advance the PMO's evolution toward a value-focused portfolio operating model.
- Align delivery activities with strategic objectives, expected business outcomes, and value realization.
- Deliver executive insights highlighting portfolio health, delivery risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and value at risk.
- Identify portfolio-wide delivery trends and recommend improvements to governance and delivery practices.
Governance and Stakeholder Management
- Strengthen portfolio governance forums, review cadences, and escalation processes.
- Build trusted relationships with executives, sponsors, Product Managers, delivery teams, and Domain Leaders.
- Challenge delivery risks, governance gaps, unclear ownership, and prioritization issues in a constructive manner.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, agility, and value-focused delivery.

What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Agile delivery, project management, program management, PMO, portfolio management, or transformation delivery
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, product lifecycle management, governance, stakeholder engagement, and value delivery.
- Experience designing and improving Agile operating models, delivery frameworks, standards, and playbooks.
- Ability to assess delivery health, identify risks, and bring structure to complex environments.
- Experience coaching cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
- Strong executive communication, analytical, organizational, and AI/data-driven decision-making skills.
- Practical, value-focused mindset with experience balancing governance, agility, and execution in technology or enterprise transformation environments.
