The primary reponsibility for this role is to oversee various projects to maximize the efficiency of retail stores and corporate office buildings across the ADUSA footprint. This role will further provide support to the Maintenance department by ensuring effective operation of control and monitoring systems for lighting, HVAC and refrigeration.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage approved projects for ADUSA brands including analysis, design, budgeting, implementation and follow-up reporting.
  • Work closely with and give ongoing direction/feedback to multiple vendor partners across different projects or initiatives.
  • Interface with internal departments and outside entities or ADUSA brands as required.
  • Visit specific project stores as needed for planning or project review purposes.
  • Complete quality assurance reviews and produce vendor punch lists of certain completed projects
  • Communicate regularly with Retail managers impacted by projects.
  • Document project results for /Maintenance and brand leadership review.
  • Support field teams to manage building automation systems in retail stores.
  • Help develop standards, procedures and scope of work documents for vendor partners and field associates, specifically pertaining to lighting and building automation projects.
  • Work closely with the Refrigeration to exchange ideas for improvement and highlight operational changes that will reduce use.
  • Provide ongoing support for operation and maintenance of power monitoring systems, including performance verification and network communications.
  • Give technical input to the Maintenance building automation specialists for continual improvement of building automation systems and power monitoring systems.
  • Consistently strive for a competitive advantage for our organization by providing innovative, effective and sustainable solutions or practices for our local brands.
  • Work with Maintenance, and Refrigeration teams to develop and maintain -efficient retail stores within the required operating parameters for merchandising and comfort.
  • Challenge building automation system vendors and contractors to meet new requirements and continuously improve the efficiency and operation of their systems.
  • Support local ADUSA brands to maintain a cost advantage and our competitive position as a leader in the supermarket industry.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of project management experience including significant exposure to lighting, HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong independent decision-making ability.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to Travel a minimum of 20%
  • BS in Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with building automation systems and network communications.

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $63,440-$95,160
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $72,880 - $109,320
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
