Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- With a strong focus on month end, including standard monthly journals, general ledger reconciliations and reporting financial information to internal management and key stakeholders.
- Assist with preparing the consolidated financial statements of Valterra Platinum Limited and the standalone financial statements of various subsidiaries.
- Engagement with external auditors and required internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant CA(SA) or relevant finance and/or accounting degree.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience dealing with financial accounting within a large organization
- Big 4 auditing firm experience is beneficial
- Mining industry experience is beneficial
Knowledge and Skills:
- Developing skill in analysing financial results
- Proficient skill in applying IFRS
- Advanced skill in using excel to perform complex calculations and analysing financial information
- Expert skill in processing and compiling financial transactions
Technical Knowledge
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- SAP advantageous
- Wdesk (Workiva) advantageous
