What will you do?

This is a position for ETL Designer/Developer with scheduling hands on experience having 5-8 years of experience in AWS and at least 1 years’ experience in Scheduling.

• Working with the Subject Matter Experts and Business Analysts to grasp the best knowledge of investment product architecture and implement new features in the scope of the project and other project deliverables.

• Design, Development, Testing and Support of Informatica based ETL Applications, using existing and emerging technology platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Understand the project scope, identify activities/ tasks, task level estimates, schedule, dependencies, risks and provide inputs to Program Lead for review.

• Develop a robust ETL solutions which can best meet the business requirements for investments applications.

• Analyze the data sources, be it a RDBMS or XLSX, CSV file or any other data source.

• Understanding of scheduling tools.

• Prepare/Modify design documents (High level design and Detailed design documents) based on business requirements.

• Suggest changes in design on technical grounds.

• Work on the functional and technical upgrades of the application.

• Coordinate delivery of the assigned tasks with the onshore Partners or/and Business Analyst.

• Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems, options and recommendations for prompt resolution.

• Follow development standards to ensure that code is clear, efficient, logical and easily maintainable.

• Create and maintain application documentation like Network diagrams, Technical project handbook, technical data mapping doc, unit test documents, implementation plan.

• Ensure SLF Information Security Policies and General Computing Control is compiled to in all situations.

• Take complete ownership of work assignments and ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks.

• Ensure all written and verbal communication is clear, understandable and audience appropriate.

• Knowledge of AWS or Azure, Python is must.

• Flexibility to work on different technologies will be preferred.

• Ability to build high level solution design and develop high complexity code with minimal defects (e.g., functionality, business logics, formulas), easy-to-read as well as executable​

• Effectively utilize multiple software development and deployment methodologies e.g., TDD, DDD, along with secure coding practices, development best practices and Agile/ DevOps/ DevSecOps/ DBOps principles​

• I identify continuous improvement opportunities in the existing solutions and drive implementation.  ​

• Act as a code/release reviewer and apply best practices for optimal design solutions.​

• Ability to develop low complexity code with zero defect (e.g., using existing transcripts, logics, pseudo codes, cloning, straight forward SQL code), written to be read as well as executed.​

• Understands and write SQL queries, of moderate to complex constructs, optimized for performance

• Solid knowledge of Data Transformation and Management processes, use prevalent tools/ technologies. either on-prem or Cloud. Implements Moderate to High Complexity solutions.

• Able to apply data modeling and visualization in solutions

• Create HLD/ LLD for scenarios as identified from BRD, with minimal issues/ changes.

Key Qualifications and experience:

• Design, develop, support, deploy and/or test advanced technology solutions of small scale. ​

• Work independently and apply advanced engineering skills, tools, practices, and techniques to all deliverables.​

• Understand and Identify deliverable requirements, contribute to estimations, and develop high level solution design of intermediate complexity.​

• Gained basic functional knowledge to support in deliveries.​

• Participate in code reviews and ensure quality governance.​

• Contribute to objectively evaluate the candidates, to help build a diverse and talented team and may act as a mentor to new hires, interns, or junior engineers.​

• Visible, Participate and Contribute in the mainstream of engineering events​.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze business problems systematically and deliver effective right-sized solutions in a timely manner.

• Exposure to create scheduling jobs.

• Proven analysis and design/development skills on ETL platforms.

• Design, Develop, Test and Implement the changes following the Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and quality concepts.

• Hands on experience on CDI (Cloud Data Integration) development, implementation & support.

• Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

• For Informatica roles, working knowledge on job scheduling tools like Zeke, Autosys etc.

• Experience in DevOps tool (Jenkins & Bitbucket).

• Good knowledge on scripting (Unix/Windows).

• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodology.

• Strong knowledge of relational database and stored procedures.

• Experience with various DevOps tools - source code management tools such as Jenkins, Bit bucket, CI CD tools – Ansible, CDD etc.

• Knowledge of APIs is good-to-have.

• Experience of Agile methodology.

• Hands on experience on ZEKE & Control M scheduling.

• For AWS or Azure based roles, strong knowledge of cloud ecosystem & services (EC2, S3 etc).

• Azure services: ADF, Functions, BLOB, Azure Data Lake, DataBricks, Azure ML, Stream Analytics, PowerBI).  

• AWS services: Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, Redshift, SNS, SQS, S3, CloudWatch.
