Learning & Development Specialist – Data Engineering Business

Experience: 4-6 years

Role Purpose: The Learning & Development Specialist will support the design and delivery of learning initiatives for the Data Engineering business. This role focuses on executing structured learning programs that strengthen technical capability and professional skills, while ensuring smooth program coordination and tracking.

The Specialist works closely with the L&D Lead / Manager and business stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation and learner experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Support and Execution

  • Support the planning and execution of technical and behavioral learning programs for the Data Engineering function
  • Coordinate logistics schedules, communication, and facilitator alignment for assigned programs.
  • Ensure smoother learner experience from nomination to completion.

Learning Content and Delivery Support

  • Assist in in curating and organizing learning content in collaboration with SMEs.
  • Support development of learning materials, presentations, and assessments.
  • Help maintain structured learning pathways aligned to defined roles.

LMS and Reporting

  • Manage LMS enrolments, course uploads, and learner tracking.
  • Track program metrics such as attendance, completion rates, feedback scores, and learning hours.
  • Prepare basic learning reports and dashboards for review by the L&D Lead / Manager.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Works closely with facilitators, internal SMEs, and participants to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate feedback collection and support follow-ups.
  • Escalate issues or delays to the reporting manager.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 4–6 years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent Development roles.
  • Exposure to technical or engineering-focused environments preferred.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and execution skills.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for preparing learning reports and summaries.
