Specialist Applications Development - Java Developer, microservices, spring boot, Kafka, Any database-MongoDB, Cassandra, Postgres

Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing all functions involved in quality assurance and test execution for new application functionality and interfaces. The role requires good experience and provides deep technical expertise and knowledge. 

Qualification 

Preferred bachelor’s degree in information systems technology, Computer Science, or Engineering; Developer nanodegree, or equivalent experience. 

• Experience in Java, Springboot         
• Experience working with PLSQL/SQL
• Database: Postrgres + Cassandra
• Cassandra – Proficient in NoSQL data modeling, replication strategies, and handling large-scale distributed datasets.
• PostgreSQL – Skilled in writing complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong 5+ years’ experience in object-oriented programming, building enterprise-grade applications, and microservice development.
• Perform development (code, unit test & deployment)
• Proficient in REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, SAML, TLS/SSL, and Azure Active Directory (AAD) integration.
• Experience with generative AI tools or large language model integrations
• Familiarity with prompt design and AI output evaluation
• Knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, or retrieval pipelines
• Exposure to Python-based AI tooling is a plus
• Experience with containerized environments like OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Basic understanding the Telcom domain
• Must have solid trouble shooting skills
• Must – Cloud (AWS/Azure), docker, Kubernetes, bitbucket, Kafka, Jenkins
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stretch respective working hours, when necessary, to support business needs
• Ability to work independently and drive issues to closure
• Consult, when necessary, with relevant parties, raise timely risks
• Creation of necessary documentation for all project deliverable phases
• Develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications.
• Follow Agile software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology and release processes, to ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable
• Demo the software products to stakeholders
• Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.
• Work within a team, collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross functional teams to achieve goals.
• Assume technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements.
• Actively look for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks
