Job Responsibility
Performs exams under the direction of a Senior Special Procedures Technologist and maintains quality assurance.
Demonstrates ability to access patient information such as appointment times, type of exam, and patient reports.

Competent in scheduling exams in a computer application from the order entry queue and/or demonstrates the ability to modify exams when necessary.
Effectively assesses patients information and status Implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
Explains the procedure and equipment to the patient clearly.
Positions patient and radiographic equipment appropriate to the body part(s) to be radiographed and adjusts equipment settings accordingly and demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure.

Job Qualification
Vocational or Technical school Diploma, required.
Current license to practice as a Radiology Technologist in New York State, required.
Current ARRT Radiology registration, required,
plus specialized certifications as needed.
1-3 years of technical experience, required.
