In support of business growth, our C4ISR Space Systems product line is seeking to hire a Program Manager II within the Advanced Microelectronics (AM) program area. AM develops state-of-the-art radiation-hardened Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) technologies, products and services in support of commercial, civil and military space industries.
Based in Manassas, Virginia and reporting to the AM Program Management Director, this position is a great opportunity for individuals interested in leading microelectronics technology development for space applications in a program management capacity.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Lead capture, planning, execution and closeout of large ($50M+) sized microelectronics development programs by applying standard project management practices including preparing cost proposals, establishing and tracking status of project management baseline, earned value management and risk & opportunity management.
- Levering BAE Systems' program lifecycle management and program management methodologies to maintain program control over cost, schedule and technical performance.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations colleagues to identify and resolve technical, procurement and manufacturing concerns.
- Leading business capture processes prior to request for proposal (RFP) and to effectively guide proposal teams for large opportunities. In this respect, collaborate with program directors, business development and engineering in the identification of new business opportunities and execution strategies for Space Systems Product Lines.
- Utilizing effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with the program teams, line and executive management, and customers and suppliers.
- Representing BAE Systems as the primary customer interface for assigned AM programs.
Please also note that while this position is considered to be a hybrid role, significant on-site presence (80+%) will be required due to the classified nature of this program.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field of study with program management experience preferably within the aerospace and defense industry
- Direct experience developing and executing a program schedule and subsequently tracking status against that schedule
- Direct experience integrating and managing technical scope, schedule, budget, risks & opportunities for the successful execution of large-scale projects or programs
- Previous management of customer relationships to maintain a win-win of program execution and future business
- Prior leadership of cross-functional teams in the execution of complex technical tasks
- Proven record of collaborating with Finance to achieve all monetary objectives in program management by use of earned value management techniques
- Sound interpersonal skills to interface, coordinate, and negotiate with company personnel, customers, and suppliers
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Advanced degree in relevant technical field, with 12+ years experience
- Working knowledge of digital and mixed-signal microelectronics technology development, including design, manufacturing, test and quality methods
- Experience with the development of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) and complex systems on a chip (SoC) at state-of-the-art technology nodes including 45nm, 12nm and below
- Familiarity with space and strategic environmental effects on microelectronics technology, including traditional and emerging markets
- Prior management of government research & development opportunity development, capture and execution processes
- Working knowledge of U.S. government defense contract types and the risks associated with each
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- PMP certification
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
