The Sourcing Specialist, located through various methods of research of medical parts. Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, you will secure information through various methods and forms of communication to include pricing, availability, warranties, and other pertinent details for medical parts.
What You’ll Do
- Conducts strategic sourcing activities supporting the organization's objectives for value-driven vendor partnerships and focused on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Engage directly with customers when required to obtain additional information, or notify the customer of updates when needed.
- Participates in supplier negotiations and contract preparation using structured processes.
- Conduct online data research using Google and other associated websites to gather relevant information and communicate findings to the customer care team.
- Utilize critical thinking, independent judgment, and problem-solving skills for low-level issue resolution.
- Integrates new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
- Relaying information to the Catalog team to improve catalog content
- Integrates new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders to define material, quality, and service requirements and standards.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral/written), planning and organizing skills
- Manage time effectively to achieve and maintain departmental KPIs.
- Follow established departmental processes and requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
