Job summary: 
This is a techno-commercial role that plays a pivotal part in developing and nurturing supplier relationships while acting as the primary point of contact for both suppliers and customers. The position is actively engaged throughout the value chain, from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to the delivery of parts, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
The role leads to sample development and serial production, offering end-to-end project management experience with an emphasis on delivering quality products on time. In addition, it provides exposure to cross-functional leadership, driving collaboration across procurement, engineering, quality, and logistics.
This position presents a strong platform for career growth within existing and future business verticals, blending technical knowledge with commercial acumen to create lasting value for the organization.

Requirements
            Key Responsibilities
        Customer Relationship Management
  •  Act as the primary customer interface, representing the company's values, capabilities, and commitment to quality.
  •  Initiate, host, and manage customer visits (both domestic and international), building trust and enhancing engagement.

2      Supplier Engagement & Development

  • Leverage existing supplier base and onboard new suppliers in response to new RFQs, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery competitiveness.

3       Cost Estimation & Quotation Management

  • Prepare cost estimations for fabrication parts made from various materials and volume mixes.
  • Source and compare supplier quotations to provide competitive offers to customers under tight timelines.
  •  Improve hit ratio by analysing lost quotes and identifying pricing or capability gaps
Project Execution & Coordination
  • Lead and drive internal project execution while keeping customers aligned to defined cadences and milestones.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, logistics) and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Sample Development & Delivery
  • Lead the project management of new samples, ensuring on-time delivery and first-time-right quality.
  • Manage communication and logistics with freight forwarders and customs for international shipments.
Customer Commitment Fulfilment
  • Proactively manage changes during project execution to ensure continued alignment with customer expectations and delivery commitments.

Education & Experience:

  • Educational Background: BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing of fabrication parts,  Business development or sales experience is a strong advantage, particularly in the engineering or manufacturing domain
  • Technical & Business Skills: Proficient in MS Office and familiar with QA tools, ERP systems, and basic data analysis. Ability to read technical drawings and understand manufacturing requirements
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting with both internal teams and international clients

·       International experience or exposure to global markets is preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

             Technical Certifications

  • Certification in  Manufacturing Processes (e.g., from GTTC, NTTF, or NSDC)
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) certification

       ii    Commercial & Business Certifications

  • Diploma or Certification in Sales & Marketing, Techno-Commercial Management, or Export-Import Management
  • Project Management (e.g., CAPM or PMP)

 

 



Skills Required

  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
