In this role, you will deliver procurement activities and sourcing priorities for Japan while collaborating with collaborators, country leads, and category teams. Discover your role:- Partner with collaborators and Global Procurement to deliver local execution of global priorities.
- Implement global category strategies across sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Provide Japan market input to strengthen global category strategies.
- Review contracts and monitor country spend trends using data insights.
- Partner with collaborators to understand strategy, budgets, and future requirements.
- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contracting activities supporting business needs.
- Drive value through cost savings, cash flow improvement, and procurement efficiencies.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of indirect procurement experience.
- Dynamic procurement experience, preferably within Pharma or Biopharma.
- Experience across Commercial, Corporate/Indirect, and Research & Development categories preferred.
- Experience leading or supporting global category teams, processes, and suppliers.
- Expertise in sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of supply market evaluation, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.
- Ability to build influential collaborator and supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of rates, unit costs, costing structures, and supply market dynamics.
- Working knowledge of sourcing, contracting, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, and eRFx platforms preferred, including Oracle, Zycus, GEP, or Ariba.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use data and market intelligence to support decision-making.
- Ability to operate with integrity, focus, and clarity in ambiguous environments.
- Collaboration and cross-functional partnership skills.
