Director, Specialist Sales, Consumer Solutions
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced professional capable of product sales and management role to manage our consumer solutions in Japan and drive the strategy forward by consistently innovating and aligning with division strategy. This position helps provide the answer to "Why Mastercard" from product differentiation perspective and ensure flawless delivery of product services to delight customers. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious about our industry and products, analytical, and possesses a growth mindset.
This role is responsible for driving execution of our consumer solutions in Japan; develop and localize solutions and service capabilities through local partnerships, provide knowledge of local market landscape and regulatory implications, develop the go-to-market plans, and identify new revenue or business development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be responsible to manage Japan's consumer solutions strategy and go-to-market plan.• Leverage in-market expertise to lead the go-to-market strategy of the consumer solutions, product roadmaps, and priorities, cross-product integration, and leverage market insights to differentiate from competitors, where possible.• Partner with the account management and service teams to develop business development plans that identify opportunities and drive business growth of the consumer solutions.• Lead local development, implementation, and deployment of the consumer solutions in Japan.• Offer consultation to clients to support their adoption and implementation of Mastercard's consumer solutions.• Drive execution by curating best products and solutions for clients and ensuring high quality execution.• Function as an expert, advocate, and champion for the designated solutions to internal and external stakeholders.• Collaborate with other product teams and the regional product team.• Report to Customer Solutions Center Lead.

• Highly proactive and self-driven individual who is comfortable with operating in a fast-paced business environment and has strategic intent with a strong orientation to deliver tactically.• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.• Deep understanding of issuers' and acquirers' business needs and ability to proactively address these needs with consumer solutions.• Engage clients to find out what their needs are and how our solutions can be of relevance.• Continually look at the market and competition to see what is happening.• Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; will need to be "hands-on" and able to function autonomously. • Be comfortable to use data with excellent analytical skills.• Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills in English and Japanese• Background in consumer payments or selling to consumer payments clients with knowledge of the payments industry.
