The Role
  • Knowledgeable on the Strategic Sourcing process, drafting of contracts/scopes of work, financial reviews, and procurement practices
  • Builds and fosters relationships and effectively partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and colleagues to influence change
  • Project Management: works closely with business unit, active engagement with team, monitors progress and leads project to ensure timely completion
  • Drives completion of multiple simultaneous projects by proactively considering new alternatives and driving critical thinking to optimize results
  • Provides input and support for continuous improvement programs within the department by taking lead on identifying opportunities and creating business cases
  • Creation and development, evaluation, and presentation of business case and cost/benefit analysis to stakeholders
  • Communicates proactively and effectively with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Leverages industry associations, peers, and stakeholders to identify best practices for strategic sourcing for outsourcing category and supplier management
  • Builds and fosters relationships and effectively partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and colleagues to influence change
  • Effectively manage and mentor 0-3 direct reports
  • Proactively identifies and recommends category sourcing options and partners with stakeholders to implement them
  • Contributes significantly to the achievement of defined category performance targets and participates in or leads competitive RFXs as necessary
  • Collaborates with business and third-party risk management to negotiate commercial and performance aspects of outsourcing agreements - strong understanding of pricing models, SLAs, benchmarking, scope description required
  • Leverage market knowledge and understanding of industry trends to achieve performance goals for the category
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to cover various commodities such as general services (facilities, MRO), information technology/security, and bank operations
  • Perform data/spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, TCO, and value creation
  • Identify long term sourcing strategies for bank services and related commodity groups
  • Manage/mitigate vendor risk, business continuity and compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in strategic sourcing, MRO procurement, or related experience; or,
  • Master's degree in business, finance, supply chain or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in strategic sourcing, MRO procurement, or related experience.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio in order to perform analysis, provide visual aids with graphics and illustrative animations, models, graphs, etc.
  • Must have both quantitative and qualitative market research experience
  • Ability to interpret and utilize key financial data; can tell a story with data
  • Must have strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in an environment of tight deadlines
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently but also able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented department
  • Ability to learn and become subject matter expert quickly
  • Demonstrates excellent client support and demeanor by being knowledgeable/informed, courteous and provide timely resolution
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Proven leadership skills showcasing strategic mindset and approach to managing teams
  • Demonstrated comfort level with ambiguity
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Experience with facilities, professional services, and IT/IS categories preferred.

The salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 annually - $125,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
