This role will direct report to Head of Sourcing, BU MAS Operations
Summary
• Overall responsible for executing strategies, managing sourcing activities and operational purchasing to secure delivery of the sourcing objectives in Pure Ballast and BU/PU.
Key Tasks
• Responsible for communicating and ensuring alignment on sub-commodity strategies.
• Lead, manage and execute the strategy work for Pure Ballast.
• Lead purchasers and purchasing managers, direct and indirect in all related sites.
• Accountable for material cost reduction results and the supply-related performance.
• In collaboration with Global Commodity teams, responsible to develop plans and delivering agreed targets and secure focus areas are incorporated in line with PB and BU/PU Strategies.
• Develop plans for sourcing new products and suppliers as part of the NPD process.
• Responsible for securing requirements are communicated and included in Global-Commodity Strategies.
• Responsible to secure adherence to policy and strategies.
• Responsible for giving input to tools & procedures within Global Sourcing and implementing them in the sites.
• KPI's and Scorecard follow up.
Competencies, experience and attitudes to do the job:
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of procurement markets, supply chain management, and supplier qualification processes.
- Familiarity with SRM, quality management systems and tools.
- Technical background in relevant industries (e.g., marine, power and offshore, marine or relevant heavy industry).
- NPI experience and proven record track.

- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop sourcing strategies.
