Sourcing Enginner

Principal Activities

• Manage overall relationship with Suppliers & develop sourcing strategy.
• Negotiate & Implement Long term agreement with strategic suppliers.
• Drive and ensure suppliers are held accountable for meeting continuous improvement initiatives both from a strategic and tactical perspective.
• Develop baseline for commodity & inflation / savings / productivity forecasts for assigned commodity.
• Ensure robust supplier selection strategy and methodology incorporating technical, financial and management benchmarks.
• Evaluate & Select new suppliers as per the Commodity Strategy.
• Support New Product launch, Supplier transitions & Engineering change management processes.
• Develop appropriate supplier strategies to leverage global volume on common parts.
• Work with internal customers to Identify opportunities for cost savings, supply base rationalization and execute projects that drive quality, savings and reduce number of suppliers.
• Understand and monitor current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges and manage risk in the supply chain pro-actively.
• Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and category team members.
• Key metrics include:  Annual cost savings, Supplier OTD (project and production), DPPM, Supply base rationalization, Reduce Supplier lead time for development, Contract Penetration.

• Strong Project Management skill with effective negotiation & communication skill
• Think strategically and develop commodity specific supply base strategy
• Strong in English Communication to be able to handle global suppliers and global customers
• Familiar with excel/PPT and good at report out

• Education & Experience
• E – Mechanical / Production/Industrial with 5 years’ experience in strategic sourcing / supply chain

• BS, mechanical engineering, etc.

语言能力/ Language skills

• Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarins are required.

工作地点/ Working Location

• Based in Weihai China with 30% of domestic and oversea travels.
