Your New Role
In this role, you will develop and implement sourcing, contracting and supplier strategies to ensure the Fund secures the right goods, services and solutions at the right price, quality and time, while effectively managing supply chain risks.
You will work collaboratively across all Fund departments and partner closely with Legal, Projects, Risk and Internal Audit. You will use category management, contract management and demand management disciplines to review and influence addressable third-party spend, build a pipeline of opportunities, reduce risk and strengthen sustainable supplier relationships.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
Deliver large-scale sourcing initiatives, including complex negotiations, contract management and measurable commercial outcomes.
Build and maintain a pipeline of sourcing opportunities that drive cost savings, cost reduction or avoidance and broader value.
Develop sourcing strategies aligned to category plans, business objectives, budgets and risk appetite, tailored to varied spend profiles.
Prepare RFx documentation, evaluation methodology, criteria and scoring frameworks, and manage queries, clarifications and bidder engagement.
Critically evaluate quotations, offers and proposals against criteria such as time, cost and quality to determine the best value option.
Generate regular contract expiry reports and manage contracts and Statements of Work through review, execution, recording and renewal processes.
Establish, build and maintain relationships across all levels of the Fund, working with support and delivery functions including Legal, Finance, Colleagues & Culture, Technology and Projects.
Support strategic relationship management, onboarding and offboarding, and due diligence to identify, mitigate and manage third-party risks.
What You’ll Need
10+ years’ experience across commercial, management and strategy roles with strong leadership, senior stakeholder engagement and influence.
Proven experience delivering large-scale sourcing initiatives, complex negotiations, contract management and measurable commercial benefits.
Broad category management experience spanning areas such as Administration, Technology, Consulting, Professional Services, Insurance, Property & Facilities and Investments.
Deep Source-to-Contract expertise, with solid Procure-to-Pay and third-party, vendor or supplier management capability, supported by strong knowledge of contract law.
Strong understanding of Modern Slavery, CPS230, CPS234 and key Prudential Standards.
Demonstrated ability to provide rigorous commercial and procurement advice, identify issues, analyse improvements and solve complex problems.
Experience managing complex projects, competing priorities and tight timeframes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and handle confidential matters with professionalism.
