Our HQ Office is located in Lower Manhattan and the team is on-site 4 days per week.

Tommy John is seeking a versatile, self-driven, Sourcing Assistant to support production from initial bookings & PO placement until final x-factory. This position is administrative/entry level and reports to the Pre-Production & Production Manager. The Assistant will support the Production team to issue seasonal purchase orders and Track WIP from PO issuance to x-factory.

  • Create & Issue Purchase Orders; seasonal, chase, off cadence, and ISO
  • Update purchase order, system revisions (NetSuite)
  • Maintain daily communication with internal & external partners to troubleshoot data issues
  • Review production WIP report against all production schedules & shipment tracking, updating shipment status when necessary
  • Manage and report weekly PSR (Production Status Report)
  • Assist Manager with liability analysis 
  • Pull PO's for business analysis to influence sourcing strategies
  • Review and approve all production related invoices such as surcharges, garment testing, etc. 
  • Assist in requesting bulk garment testing and uploading reports into Centric

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Production/Design, Merchandising, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a product development capacity at a fashion/retail company
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in PLM and Centric systems a plus 
  • Understanding of the product development life cycle, calendar, and cross functional goals
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a growing and transforming environment with both speed and accuracy 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task work to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, provide options & creative solutions, and work collaboratively to resolve issues
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills
