SALARY: $150,000 - $180,000 base salary + variable (based on NYC, will be adjusted for geo)
The Role:
As a GTM Specialist focused on our newest product, you are an important leader within the Commercial team, serving as the Asset Data subject matter expert (SME) for the Sales, Relationship Management, and Marketing teams. In your role, you will provide invaluable insights and support across multiple go-to-market functions, with specific emphasis on optimizing how we sell Canoe Asset Data. You will apply your expertise in private market and underlying portfolio company holdings data to work with our Sales team on complex client scoping and demonstrations, develop marketing positioning & materials, build out our Commercial processes to ensure a seamless client experience, and work with Commercial leaders to shape our GTM approach.
What You'll Do:
Be an SME:

  • Act as the primary SME for Canoe Asset Data commercially, serving as a resource for Marketing, Sales, Relationship Management, and Client Operations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to maintain and share up-to-date knowledge.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and key differentiators.
  • Represent Canoe Asset Data at industry events, conferences, and webinars, establishing thought leadership and building brand awareness


Sales Support & Demonstrations:

  • Serve as a consultative resource for our GTM teams to answer questions about the product, individual client use cases, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist the Sales team with complex, detailed Asset Data scoping and demonstrations, working directly with these clients & prospects to sell Canoe Asset Data.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during client scoping sessions to ensure accurate and effective solution proposals.
  • Optimize our sales process, including Proof of Concepts (POCs), the discovery process, and marketing materials and collateral.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of sales enablement materials, including demo scripts, FAQs, and competitive positioning guides.


Operational Process Development:

  • Work with Revenue Operations to design and implement efficient operational processes that support a smooth sales and GTM workflow.
  • Identify and address operational bottlenecks, ensuring streamlined communication and coordination between Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of GTM processes, making data-driven adjustments to optimize performance.


Product Feedback and Collaboration:

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, collecting and synthesizing feedback from clients and the Commercial team to relay to the Product team.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to influence product roadmaps and prioritize features based on market demand and client feedback.
  • Participate in product development cycles where needed, providing insights and validation for new features and enhancements.


What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience working with private market & underlying holdings data, preferably at a fintech company or in an investment role.
  • Deep understanding of the alternative investment landscape, including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and other asset classes.
  • Extensive experience with underlying holdings data and its applications in portfolio management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience supporting sales teams with technical demonstrations, scoping, and client engagements.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Deadline-oriented and a proven ability to self-manage in a remote / hybrid work setting.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncovering answers to complex product development questions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
