Responsibilities: Pre-Sales & Technical Discovery
- Act as the primary technical contact during early-stage sales conversations.
- Lead solution discovery—understanding workflows, data schema needs, and system integration challenges.
- Translate technical product capabilities into real-world value for transportation agencies, consultants, and municipalities.
- Present demos and walkthroughs for customized use cases.
- Assist with technical scoping, timeline feasibility, and delivery plans for complex proposals.
- Support the GTM team by owning and answering product capability questions—internally and externally.
Responsibilities: Customer Prototyping & Integration
- Build first-pass deliverables or proof-of-concepts using our sensor data (LiDAR, imagery, GPS).
- Reformat and map Cyvl’s data outputs to match customer schemas, templates, or GIS layers.
- Guide onboarding of new customers—troubleshooting sensor setup, data upload, and file system delivery.
- Support light custom integrations into customer systems (e.g., asset management, geodatabases)
- Collaborate with product/engineering teams to support data ingestion (e.g., GeoJSON, Shapefiles, WMS, PostGIS), API integration, or cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Troubleshoot spatial analysis workflows using tools like QGIS, ArcGIS, or custom Python pipelines.
Responsibilities: Collaboration & Product Feedback
- Partner with product and engineering teams to suggest feature improvements and flag edge cases.
- Help define internal tools that automate POC creation or customer delivery formatting.
- Identify repetitive customer needs that can be standardized into new features or templates.
- Be the voice of the customer, helping drive new feature development.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales role
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences
- Comfortable building simple visualizations or proof-of-concept outputs
- Strong collaboration skills — you’ll work across Sales, Engineering, and Product daily
- Organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple concurrent sales conversations
- Coding/scripting experience (Python, bash, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of GIS concepts: projections, shapefiles, raster/vector, LiDAR, spatial accuracy
- Proficiency with tools like QGIS, GeoPandas, Shapely, Python, ArcGIS, PostGIS
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to 3D data types (LiDAR, point clouds, mapping) or imagery
- Exposure to data annotation tools (CVAT, etc)
- Experience creating or presenting technical solutions in sales settings
- Understanding of sensor hardware deployments or edge devices
