What you will do:
The Graduate Solutions Engineer Program is designed to develop the next generation of engineering leaders for smart buildings, data centers, and mission-critical infrastructure. Through a structured rotational program, participants will build deep technical expertise across multiple engineering disciplines while gaining practical experience in energy efficiency, digital technologies, controls, HVAC systems, and mission-critical environments.
During the 18-month rotational program, you will work alongside experienced engineers and subject matter experts, gaining hands-on experience across electrical, mechanical, controls, and digital domains. The program is designed to strengthen core engineering fundamentals, cultivate multidisciplinary problem-solving capabilities, and equip participants with the skills to design and deliver integrated solutions for increasingly complex customer challenges.
How you will do it:
Join the BMS Project/Service team to design and implement control programming for new or existing BMS sites, facilitating synergy between electrical control systems and mechanical operations
Engage with the HVAC Energy Solution/Service team to perform chiller performance reviews, audit reporting and maintenance, gaining insights that intertwine different components in energy management
Contribute as a member of the digital delivery and solution architect team, tasked with implementing and delivering JCI’s OpenBlue digital solutions.
Participate in Data Center and mission-critical infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to cooling systems, sustainability initiatives, operational resilience, and optimization strategies.
Participate in research projects with external organizations (e.g. Higher Learning Institution, startups) as a part of the JCI Innovation Center
Undertaking a full cycle project in the final year of the program
Engage in cross-functional collaboration to leverage collective expertise and drive innovative solutions in the design and implementation of comprehensive building systems & data center solutions.
Receive mentoring and coaching from experienced engineers and industry experts to accelerate technical and professional development.
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in both electrical and mechanical fields to ensure solutions remain cutting-edge and relevant
What we look for:
Graduating student or recent graduate with a degree background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Infrastructure and Project Management, Urban Systems/Energy Management, or a related field, with up to 2 years of experience.
A strong interest in sustainability and a desire to learn and apply concepts related to smart building solutions that encompass multidisciplinary engagements
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a capability to approach challenges from both electrical and mechanical perspectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to facilitate teamwork across engineering disciplines.
Able to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic work environment, adapting to evolving project needs.
