The Solutions Engineer Intern sits within the Transform the Business pillar of the Quality Systems organization, supporting the AI Process Intelligence (AIPI) team. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related technical fields who are curious, eager to learn, and excited about AI and automation.
You will work closely with and under the guidance of senior Solutions Engineers and Process Architects, participating in defined project tasks, testing activities, documentation, and proof-of-concept development. You are not expected to independently lead projects - you are expected to learn fast, contribute meaningfully, and grow your skills in a structured and supportive environment.

Project Description
This internship is a learning-focused, project-based role designed to provide hands-on exposure to AI-enabled automation and enterprise system integration within Micron's Quality Systems domain.
The project focuses on designing and developing prototype-level automation and AI agent solutions to demonstrate how intelligent workflows, predictive models, and knowledge integration can enhance business processes. The intern will work under close mentorship and within a controlled, non-production environment to explore AI architecture concepts, data pipelines, and system connectivity patterns.
Project Scope
During the internship, the student will work on defined project modules, which may include:
- Designing and developing Python-based automation prototypes
- Creating AI agent proof-of-concepts (e.g., intake, classification, or query agents)
- Exploring predictive modeling techniques applied to sample or historical datasets
- Developing prototype connectors or data pipelines for knowledge integration use cases
- Evaluating AI model behavior through controlled testing and analysis
- Documenting design decisions, architecture patterns, and learning outcomes
Deliverables
Expected internship deliverables may include:
- Python automation scripts or notebooks (prototype level)
- AI agent proof-of-concept demonstrations
- Sample data pipelines or connector designs
- Technical documentation (architecture diagrams, design notes)
