About the Job

This role independently owns sophisticated implementations, partners cross-functionally to drive successful outcomes, and helps establish strong technical and operational standards across Solutions Engineering.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience with APIs and system integrations, thrives in ambiguous and technically complex environments, and can confidently drive initiatives from technical discovery through implementation and launch. They use strong technical judgment to navigate tradeoffs, proactively identify risks and dependencies, and influence scalable improvements across our integrations and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex API integrations and technical initiatives from discovery and solution design through implementation and launch.
- Independently own complex, quarter-length technical projects and high-impact partner implementations, establishing clear milestones, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for sophisticated partners, restaurant groups, and strategic initiatives.
- Translate business and partner requirements into clear technical approaches, balancing implementation complexity, scalability, reliability, and partner needs.
- Diagnose and resolve sophisticated API and integration challenges using logs, API requests and responses, authentication flows, and system behavior.
- Navigate ambiguous technical problems by identifying assumptions, evaluating tradeoffs, and driving decisions toward resolution.
- Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation gaps and partner with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to clarify scope, investigate technical challenges, and identify appropriate short and long-term solutions.
- Communicate changes to delivery expectations, blockers, and technical risks early and clearly.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and implementations.
- Build and maintain deep expertise across our off-the-shelf APIs, integrations, and broader technical ecosystem.
- Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and implementation commitments are met while balancing multiple high-priority initiatives.
- Partner with Security teams to ensure integrations follow established security and compliance standards and proactively identify potential risks.
- Work closely with Sales, Partnerships, Support, Product, and Engineering teams to connect technical decisions and tradeoffs to business outcomes.
- Develop scalable troubleshooting approaches, implementation patterns, and technical guardrails that improve consistency and quality.
- Partner with Engineering domain owners during complex incidents and technical investigations, using available logs and observability tools to drive resolution and identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues.
- Develop scalable troubleshooting guides, implementation playbooks, and technical resources that improve partner self-service.
- Identify and raise product improvement opportunities based on technical patterns, implementation challenges, and partner feedback.

- You have experience partnering with Engineering and Product teams to investigate technical challenges and deliver scalable solutions.
- You can balance multiple complex projects and priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- You demonstrate strong technical judgment and know when to independently drive a solution and when to engage additional expertise.
