With billions of queries across our platforms, we help people find their perfect flight, stay, rental car and vacation package. We're also transforming business travel with a new corporate travel solution, KAYAK for Business.

As an employee of KAYAK, you will be part of a travel company that operates a portfolio of global metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights and HotelsCombined, among others. From start-up to industry leader, innovation is at our core and every employee has an opportunity to make their mark. Our focus is on building the best travel search engine to make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

As a Solutions Engineer at KAYAK, you’ll play a key role in both the pre- and post-sale customer evaluation process, partnering closely with Sales and our partners to help prospective and upcoming SMB and Enterprise customers understand how KAYAK for Business can solve their travel program’s challenges.

In this role, you’ll focus specifically on KAYAK for Business (K4B), acting as a subject matter expert on the product and its capabilities. You’ll work closely with Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams to design and demonstrate solutions for corporate travel use cases, lead functional and technical discovery, deliver tailored demos, and ensure customer requirements are translated into product-aligned, technically sound solutions to hand off to our implementation team for delivery.

This role will be required to work from our Cambridge, MA office at least 3 days per week.

In this role, you will:

  • Be a product expert on K4B, including features, integrations, limitations, and roadmap direction

  • Lead technical and product discovery with upcoming and prospective customers to understand corporate travel needs, workflows, and constraints

  • Deliver tailored demos to prospective and upcoming customers, showing how K4B’s capabilities meet policy controls, restrictions, traveler experience, and integration needs

  • Design solution recommendations that align customer requirements with K4B product capabilities

  • Translate customer needs into clear product and technical requirements for internal teams

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to validate use cases, identify gaps, and structure roadmap priorities

  • Partner with Engineering to assess feasibility, development effort, technical tradeoffs, and implementation approaches

  • Support pilots and technical evaluations post sale prior to customer onboarding

  • Own the scope handoff to Implementation team, documenting solution context, requirements, and success criteria

  • Participate in internal handoff meetings to align on scope, timelines, and risks prior to customer onboarding

  • Help define implementation paths, onboarding plans, and success criteria prior to deal close

  • Represent customer needs in internal discussions

  • Contribute to improving demo environments, documentation, and pre-sales tooling

Please apply if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar role supporting B2B or SaaS products

  • Experience in corporate travel, expense management, or travel management platforms

  • A track record of quickly learning products and confidently representing them to customers

  • Strong experience demoing products to business, technical, and executive stakeholders

  • Ability to conduct consultative discovery and map business needs to product solutions

  • Solid understanding of web technologies (APIs, integrations, authentication, data flows)

  • Comfort discussing system behavior and architecture at a high level

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales and Engineering teams

  • Experience supporting enterprise customers or complex sales cycles

  • Clear communication, presentation, and storytelling skills

  • A collaborative, problem-solving and analytical mindset

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with policy enforcement, reporting, or enterprise workflows

  • Experience with integrations into HR, SSO, or expense systems

  • Ability to read or write code (Java, JavaScript, SQL, etc.)

Benefits and Perks:

  • Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year

  • Flexible hours and ability to work from home 1 or 2 days per week

  • Generous retirement plans

  • Awesome health, dental and vision insurance plans with flexible spending accounts

  • Focus on mental health and well-being:
