OverviewThe Solutions Consultant is responsible for supporting solution-designed sales, delivering customised service solutions for high-potential opportunities and strategic client accounts. This is a customer-facing, consultative role that requires close collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams.Responsibilities- Lead in-depth discovery sessions with customers to uncover business needs and drive solution-based sales
- Help create business, functional, and technical requirements that demonstrate TNS's ability to deliver
- Bridge the gap between Product, Technology, and Sales to design achievable and profitable service solutions
- Work with Sales and Customer Success teams to conceptualise, design, and assist with the implementation of customised solutions
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to develop scalable solutions that address common challenges across markets
- Produce technical proposals, cost models, and profitability analyses for sales opportunities
- Support responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring technical designs meet both commercial and operational requirements
- Maintain a current understanding of TNS services to keep customers informed of relevant updates and improvements
Strategic Objectives
This role directly contributes to increasing TNS's valuation by partnering with the sales team to:
- Exceed projected revenue goals within assigned accounts and territory
- Land new logo customers for TNS's payment offerings
- Expand the TNS footprint within existing customer accounts through cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Identify and prioritise pipeline activities that maximise revenue impact
Core Experience
- 3+ years in a Solutions Consultant role with strong technical grounding
- Proven ability to translate product capabilities into tailored customer solutions
- Strong conceptual problem-solving skills with a track record of selling customised solutions
- Experience working collaboratively with sales representatives and delivery teams to drive revenue
- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills — able to drive consensus around shared objectives
Payments Expertise (3+ Years)
Payment Acceptance- Attended and unattended payment acceptance models (Point of Sale)
- Terminal types: Ingenico, Verifone, PAX
- Cash register software integration
- Wallet and eCommerce technologies
- Indoor and outdoor payment acceptance (Retail, Parking, Vending/Kiosk, Fuel & Convenience)
- Payment orchestration: authorisation, in-person and eCommerce, recurring payments, BNPL, and alternative payment methods

- Intelligent Payment Routing, Fraud prevention, DCC, 3DS, and Tokenisation
