Your Role

As a Solutions Consultant at Ascend you will be the critical first point of contact between our newest customers and our products. You are as skilled at building relationships at the executive level as you are guiding technical teams towards concrete objectives and you work diplomatically across sales, customer success, product, and engineering to drive complex implementations from start to finish, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

We are hiring for this position in either San Francisco, CA or Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities will include

  • Own critical pre and post-sales workflows for new customers in partnership with AE team, including
    • Translating customer pain points into tailored technical solutions and demonstrating product fit.
    • Conducting in-depth discovery, understand and map current workflows, and propose/demo tailored solutions to prospects
    • Drafting initial proposals including scope, solution, success criteria, ROI and pricing
    • Defining pilot scope and KPIs
    • Creating and executing implementation plan, including client dependencies (e.g., tech access, integrations), and on-site / virtual kickoff and training calls
    • Facilitating a smooth handoff to a Customer Success Manager
  • Build deep product and industry knowledge to consultatively implement Ascend’s products for the largest insurance distributors in the country.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to develop and execute POCs, implementation plans, and cross-selling strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure optimal product experiences.
  • Manage complex enterprise implementation cycles involving multiple stakeholders and products.

You might be a good fit if you are / have

  • 3-5+ years of experience in solutions/sales engineering, implementation management, or customer onboarding
  • Proven experience partnering with sales teams to design and implement solutions for enterprise customers
  • Energized when multitasking and context switching
  • Oriented towards speed and accuracy when communicating
  • High-growth startup and/or B2B (or B2B2C) fintech experience is a plus

Base Salary: $100k - $120k annually
