Your Role at impact.com:

The Solutions Consultant will partner with the sales organization to drive revenue for impact.com. The Solutions Consultant role requires both technical knowledge and business acumen to uncover a customer's current and future states as well as business goals in order to effectively position impact.com technology. The Solutions Consultant needs the confidence and credibility of both product and industry knowledge, alongside the ability to build rapport and be seen as a trusted advisor by clients, prospects, and sales partners.

Per the impact.com Solutions Team Operating Model, the Solutions Consultant owns "the story", the value narrative, demonstration, and decision progression that build a customer's confidence to buy. In this role, you will work alongside an Account Executive (who owns the deal relationship, qualification, and business narrative) and, on complex deals, a Solutions Architect (who owns the design, technical architecture, feasibility, and implementation readiness).

What You'll Do:
  • Core Account Team Partner: Serve as a core member of the account team, partnering with Account Executives to develop and execute sales strategies, inspire impactful use cases, and build prospect confidence in impact.com's platform and integrations
  • Consultative Discovery: Conduct consultative discovery sessions with prospective clients to document current and future states, technical requirements, positive business outcomes, and the metrics used to measure them. Connect discovery directly to a named use case and outcome from impact.com’s Value Framework and use-case library, rather than staying generic
  • Solution Architecture & Lifecycle Continuity: Design solution plans and technical integration documentation addressing customer requirements, transitioned smoothly to onboarding and Customer Success teams to ensure continuity across the customer lifecycle
  • Solutions Sales Execution: Lead solutions sales activities, including:
    • Developing technical assets for pipeline-generation campaigns
    • Creating and delivering compelling, customized presentations and platform demonstrations
    • Scoping solutions and completing scoping of the solutions
    • Facilitating hands-on working sessions with prospects
    • Proactively handling objections using the impact.com Value Framework
  • RFPs & Security Questionnaires: Draft technical RFP responses and project-manage technical and security questionnaire (e.g., SIG) responses in a timely, thorough manner
  • Product Feedback Loop: Collaborate closely with product teams to aggregate and share customer and industry requirements for the roadmap, articulate product vision to prospects, and maintain deep expertise in the latest platform innovations
  • Scalable Asset Creation: Create reusable content, demonstration assets, and best practices for use across the broader sales and solutions engineering organization
What You Have:
  • 5+ years working in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical sales, solutions consulting, or solutions engineering role at a digital marketing, SaaS, or technology company (familiarity with the affiliate, creator, or partnership marketing industry preferred).
  • Technical Acumen: Working knowledge of JavaScript, APIs, web traffic/tracking flows, attribution, and file transfer systems
  • Value-Driven Mindset: Strong business acumen and the ability to bridge technical features with tangible business value and strategic outcomes
  • Communication & Executive Presence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to command engagement at an executive level, facilitate collaborative working sessions, and translate complex technical architecture into clear, accessible concepts
  • Pre-Sales Track Record: Proven performance in a SaaS pre-sales role delivering technical demonstrations, scoping solutions, drafting RFP responses, and onboarding/partnering with sales executives
  • Curiosity & Continuous Learning: Natural curiosity leading to a deep understanding of customer pain points, along with eagerness to stay ahead of rapid product capabilities and evolving industry trends
  • Collaborative Approach: A structured, detail-oriented approach to preparation, deal documentation, and cross-functional teamwork
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have:
  •  Affiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA

Salary range: $130,000- $150,000 per year, plus 25% Variable Commission Plan (for an additional $32,500-$37,500) and eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.
