You will collaborate with account executives to design, demonstrate, and deliver cloud and IT solutions that align with customer needs — translating complex technical challenges into practical, scalable, and innovative outcomes. You’ll engage directly with clients, present at industry events, develop technical documentation, and work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to drive excellence across our solution offerings.
Responsibilities:
What You Will Do
In all of your duties, you will have a relentless, obsessive, yet disciplined approach to manage all details to perfection and deliver desired results.
Partner with Client Account Executives to provide pre- and post-sales engineering support for all C Spire Business cloud and managed service offerings.
Design, document, and propose technical and business solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
Represent C Spire at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and industry seminars, serving as a technical subject matter expert and brand ambassador.
Translate customer business challenges into actionable technology strategies, leveraging deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and managed services.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to share customer feedback, identify market opportunities, and improve existing solutions.
Develop and deliver responses to customer RFPs, including architectural diagrams, cost models, and technical justifications.
Author statements of work (SOWs), technical project plans, and implementation documentation with detailed service scope and deliverables.
Maintain expertise across multiple solution domains — including Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), networking, security, storage, and disaster recovery.
Demonstrate an understanding of pricing structures, service delivery frameworks, and associated Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Stay informed of emerging technologies, vendor updates, and industry best practices to ensure C Spire maintains a cutting-edge competitive advantage.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business growth and customer success.

In addition to that, we require:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of customer-facing experience in sales engineering, cloud architecture, or consulting — or equivalent experience designing enterprise IT and application-based solutions.
In-depth knowledge of at least one (and preferably most) of the following hardware platforms: IBM, HP, Dell EMC, Cisco, Oracle/Sun, NetApp, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Brocade, Fortinet, or F5.
Strong proficiency with at least one (and preferably most) of the following software platforms: Microsoft Operating Systems (desktop/server), Exchange, SQL, Citrix, VMware, UNIX/Linux, Oracle, MySQL, or Office 365.
Knowledge of Cloud computing and managed service delivery models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Familiarity with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery concepts, architectures, and replication technologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into business-friendly terms.
Strong customer relationship and consultative skills with a focus on collaboration and results.

Current industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Veeam, Zerto, Dell EMC, VMware, or Cisco.
Hands-on experience with enterprise networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
Demonstrated success in managed services or solution design roles.
Experience with service delivery, pricing structure analysis, or SLA management.
Ability to develop a thorough understanding of C Spire’s business processes and technical environment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit for long periods and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing a computer screen. This position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites, conferences, and events. Must be able to work flexible hours based on client and project needs.
