About the Role:
The Solution Architect will provide expert leadership and guidance on projects, including enterprise application architecture, design review, technical mentorship, performance testing, scaling, and industry specific knowledge. This person will utilize best practices when operating and maintaining existing solutions, and to architect and design Business Process Management (BPM) implementations that reduce overall project risk. The Solutions Architect will design solutions (platform, system, and process) architectures based on end-user requirements and complete design reviews of project team deliverables to ensure adherence to best practices, maximize reuse, and minimize technical debt.
You Will:
- Act as lead to collect, clarify, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical design and implementation.
- Produces technical solutions with detailed narrative for proposal development and supports key personnel requirements during procurement phases such as orals, technical challenges, etc.
- Collaborates closely with stakeholders to develop a deep and thorough understanding of the client enterprise while leading large, multi-year program initiatives.
- Produces vision and strategy and creates roadmaps to lead modernization efforts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, interface diagrams and design best practices.
- Identify, document and implement non-functional requirements as part of the solution architecture/design.
- Oversee and participate in the day-to-day activities of the enablement team.
- Facilitate meetings with product owners and internal technical and operational teams.
- Provide guidance to team members and help solve technical challenges and remove roadblocks.
- Implementing design, development, and testing best practices across the entire software development life cycle.
- Serves as one of the primary technology experts in the organization, responsible for guidance and overarching technical oversight, governance, and architecture alignment, including team leadership and mentoring.
You Have:
- 5+ years of Cloud Platform experience including AWS or Azure
- Certified Lead Developer on Appian or similar LCNC Platform.
- 5+ years of experience in IT with responsibilities in one or more of the areas - Technical Architecture, Application Development, Business process management and/or Enterprise Application Integration (SOA) with Java, .Net, Appian platform or similar LCNC Platform.
- 4+ years of Business process modeling & optimization experience
- 4+ years of recent hands-on experience with Appian platform or similar LCNC Platform.
- 4+ years of experience in the design and implementation of SOAP and REST Web Service.
- 4+ years experienced in configuring, debugging, and systems integration including configuring forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components as a developer.
- 4+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL scripting.
- 4+ years of experience in all phases of product development for large-scale business critical applications following Agile methodologies.
- 3+ years in defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations leveraging different architectural views.
- 3+ years of Business Architecture including identifying & decomposing business capabilities.
- Extensive experience with Performance Tuning in Appian platform or similar LCNC platform.
- Participate as part of an agile squad with Engineering and Product teams to develop proofs of concept and prototypes for new areas of research and development.
- Orchestration of modeled process through a Workflow application.
- Configures solution applications, process models, business rules, user interfaces, and management reports.
Desired Experience:
- AWS Certified Solution Architect (Associate) is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience developing Low Code platform plugins on tools such as Appian or similar LCNC platforms.
- Previous expertise in the role of an architect, responsible for defining the solution architecture on large complex business critical n-tier client/server initiatives involving one or more of the technologies - Mobile/Portals, Workflow, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Web Services, Message brokers, Relational Databases.
- Exposure to common industry platforms and programming languages - BPM, HADOOP, Java, Microsoft/.Net is preferred.
- Master’s degree in computer science or other related field.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
