Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess how IBM products can meet customer needs and provide considered recommendations
  • Design, size and quote IBM solutions to our partner ecosystem
  • Maintain required IBM technical certifications
  • Work with the wider Ingram Micro team to maximise IBM revenue opportunities

What You’ll Bring

You’ll either be a seasoned professional with ability to work independently with limited supervision, or an up-and-coming technology superstar.  We need you to be confident with the architect community, whiteboard marker in hand, with the ability to listen, comprehend business requirements and design relevant IBM solutions.

Confidence in delivering technical training and enablement to partners, coaching them in all things IBM, and offering pragmatic solutions will be commonplace.

You’ll have the interpersonal skills to be a strong coach, and the patience to guide new Partners in terms of IBM technology, best practices, and processes.

You’ll have:

  • Proven track record of designing and delivering solutions to complex technical and business challenges.

  • Strong experience in hybrid cloud, enterprise integration, and application modernisation.

  • Familiarity with IBM’s technology stack (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Cloud, WebSphere, Watson, Instana, Turbonomic).

  • Experience with enterprise automation technologies (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent).

  • Understanding of RHEL and competing operating systems, including their role in enterprise environments.

  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).

  • Knowledge of major Cloud Service Providers and how to architect workloads across them.

Desirable

  • Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Cloud certifications, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD).

  • Awareness of the New Zealand IT industry and routes to market, particularly in enterprise and channel sales.
