Job Description:
Role Overview
The AWS Solutions Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, migrating, optimizing, and supporting AWS cloud solutions for customers. The role works closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Cloud Engineers, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and adoption of AWS services. This position focuses on technical execution, cloud transformation projects, and operational excellence.
AWS Solution Delivery
- Deliver AWS cloud implementation and migration projects.
- Configure and deploy AWS infrastructure and platform services.
- Execute cloud migration activities including servers, databases, applications, and storage workloads.
- Support modernization and transformation initiatives using AWS services.
- Ensure solutions are implemented according to AWS Well-Architected Framework principle.
Architecture & Technical Implementation
- Translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain AWS environments including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda
- Implement high availability, disaster recovery, security, monitoring, and backup strategies.
- Conduct solution reviews and design validations.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Participate in customer workshops and technical discussions.
- Provide implementation updates and status reports.
- Support UAT, production deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Ensure smooth transition to managed services or support teams.
Operations & Optimization
- Perform cloud health checks and workload assessments.
- Optimize cloud performance, security, and costs.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
- Implement automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- 4+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, or Cloud Delivery.
- Hands-on experience with AWS migration and implementation projects.
- Experience working in customer-facing delivery engagements.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, storage, and virtualization concepts.
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
