Team Overview
The UK Decision Services team delivers software solutions that help banks, building societies, retailers, and other clients assess credit risk and make informed lending decisions. Using data from credit reference agencies and other sources, we provide high-quality solutions and ongoing support to help clients manage their credit offerings and achieve positive customer outcomes.This role reports into the Manager, Technical Consultant. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Assist Solutions Consultants with the design and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Configure solutions within TransUnion decisioning software to meet business requirements and follow established best practices.
Perform unit testing and support the Test Team during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other testing phases.
Contribute to business, functional, and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in project meetings with internal teams, clients, and third-party partners as required.
Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager, Solutions Delivery Manager, or Team Lead.
Support solution implementation, issue resolution, change requests, and post-production activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and post-live issues, escalating where appropriate.
Collaborate with Decision Services and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Follow and support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes used within TransUnion.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Experience working in a professional software development environment, including project delivery across in-person or virtual teams.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and third-party suppliers.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive sustainable improvements.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Higher education degree in Science, Mathematics, Technology, or Business, or equivalent industry experience, with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
Required Technical Skills
Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
Programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript (JS), C and related derivatives, and Lua.
Basic knowledge of testing tools, such as Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface (SOAP UI), and software testing processes.
Software configuration experience.
Understanding of finance, credit risk strategies, and lending products (preferred).
