Role Overview
The Solution Sales Manager plays a critical role in identifying, shaping, and advancing new commercial opportunities for Reaxys business. This role combines outward-facing market engagement with internal strategic alignment - bridging sales, product, marketing, and enablement. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative, and deeply connected to emerging trends, capable of breaking into new segments, elevating customer conversations, and supporting high-impact deal creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Engagement & Lead Generation
Attend industry events and secure speaking opportunities to generate new business leads.
Proactively engage target prospects via LinkedIn and outreach channels to build pipeline.
Market Insights & Opportunity Intelligence
Share insights on market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
Identify new use cases and whitespace areas to support expansion.
Business Development & Deal Activation
Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Support sales by opening doors, warming prospects, and accelerating pipeline.
Contribute to deal progression through strong customer engagement.
Internal Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams on new business initiatives.
Support campaigns, messaging, and proposals to drive lead generation.
Provide field insights to inform product and go-to-market strategy.
Requirements:
At least Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is mandatory.
At least 3–4 years’ experience in a B2B sales / business development role, with a strong focus on new business acquisition.
Proven background in the industry would be an advantage.
Demonstrated track record of prospecting, lead generation, and closing new business deals.
Strong commercial mindset with ability to engage and influence key decision-makers.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

If performed in the following location: Home-Based Milan, the base pay range is €32,100 - €53,600. The total target cash range is €49,400 - €82,500. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter. This job may be subject to a collective labor agreement in Italy.
