In this role, your expertise will drive cross-region, cross-area, and cross-subsidiary insight and execution excellence. As the Solution Go To Market Manager for Modernization in Japan, you will drive revenue growth, boost field agility, and deliver results through deep partnership across sales, marketing, consulting, customer success, and partner functions. Your focus will be on aligning processes and tools, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring effective execution to support a One-Microsoft approach.

Responsibilities
  • You will collaborate with Areas to drive GTM for aligned Frontier conversations, identifying growth opportunities in the market and builds clear execution plans and align, influence and coach field teams, sales operations, marketing plans, business rhythms and change management to convert strategic priorities into local execution across Microsoft core teams to bring the voice of field and co-design strategy and programs
  • Own the end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) strategy and execution for Modernization solutions, translating corporate priorities into localized execution plans that accelerate customer acquisition, pipeline growth, and business performance.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Partner teams to define business priorities, develop growth strategies, and drive aligned execution across segments and markets. 
  • Lead sales activation and field readiness efforts, ensuring sellers and leaders are equipped with solution plays, customer engagement strategies, industry insights, and competitive differentiation to drive adoption and market share. 
  • Drive connected sales and marketing execution by leveraging customer, partner, and market signals to identify growth opportunities, improve pipeline quality, and maximize solution performance. 
  • Champion partner-led growth by collaborating with partner organizations on demand generation, co-sell motions, and ecosystem strategies that accelerate modernization outcomes and expand market reach. 
  • Serve as the voice of customers, partners, and the field, providing thought leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, customer needs, and business opportunities to influence product strategy, GTM priorities, and investment decisions. 
  • Lead cross-functional orchestration across Microsoft teams to remove blockers, align resources, and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives and modernization motions. 
  • Drive business performance through data-driven insights, business rhythms, and operational excellence, identifying opportunities to optimize investments, improve seller productivity, and increase customer and partner-facing impact. 
  • Build organizational capability by coaching stakeholders, sharing best practices, and creating clarity around strategic priorities, execution expectations, and measurable outcomes. 
  • Exemplify Microsoft Values, Culture, Leadership Principles and create clarity by creating a shared understanding and building a clear course of action as well as be a boundary-less leader who pursues right outcomes to achieve success. 

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience.
  • Business fluency in Japanese and English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.
