About the role
We’re looking for a Solution Engineering Manager to lead our Business Process Solution Engineering team across Australia. This is a high-impact leadership role, combining people leadership, technical depth and customer engagement.
You will lead a team focused on helping customers reimagine their business processes across CRM, ERP, Contact Centre and Power Platform, driving transformation through innovative, outcome-driven solutions.
This role suits a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable coaching a team, shaping technical strategy, and engaging directly with senior stakeholders and C-level leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, growth and high impact
- Build and execute the team’s technical business plan, including account and territory planning, pipeline development and fiscal performance
- Partner across sales, customer success and the partner ecosystem to shape strategy, unblock challenges and drive technical wins
- Build trusted relationships with customers and senior stakeholders, guiding technology decisions aligned to business outcomes
- Coach the team to diagnose complex challenges, challenge assumptions and deliver innovative, outcome-focused solutions
- Drive a customer-centric culture, ensuring deep understanding of customer needs and long-term priorities
- Ensure technical excellence and consistency across engagements through best practice, orchestration and strong execution
- Champion AI readiness and innovation, positioning Microsoft as a strategic thought partner
- Act as a key technical leader in market, bringing industry insight and thought leadership to customers and internal teams
- Operate with executive maturity, navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes in high-pressure environments
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Proven experience leading and developing technical or solution engineering teams
- Strong background in business applications (CRM, ERP, Contact Centre, or automation platforms)
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including C-suite
- Demonstrated ability to drive customer-focused solutions and measurable business outcomes
- Experience operating in enterprise customer environments
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Power Platform or low-code automation technologies
- Background in pre-sales, solution consulting or technical sales leadership
- Exposure to public sector (government, healthcare) environments
- Strong storytelling and executive communication skills
- Ability to balance hands-on technical engagement with strategic leadership
