What You'll Do:
As an Packet Core Performance Consultant, you'll dive deep into customer challenges and ambitions, leverage your expertise in Ericsson's portfolio (and third-party products), and craft end-to-end strategies that optimize network performance and customer experience.
Your mission:
Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that create real business value. You'll need to adapt quickly to change and show leadership across both Ericsson and customer teams.
The Impact:
You'll be at the center of major network transformation projects for Ericsson's biggest customers. This means collaborating closely with Product Units, Customer teams, Technical groups, and Marketing/Business Development.
You'll design and deploy solutions that enhance network capacity, functionality, and end-user services-working across IMS and Packet Core portfolios with a focus on leading the charge into 5G Core and in the E2E chain.

The Must-Haves:• Open to traveling (25%+)• Solid experience delivering end-to-end solutions in domains like Packet Core, TCP Optimization and Routing.• Expert-level knowledge in some of the following Core Network Functions: AMF, SMF, MME, SGW/PGW-C/U, UPF, DNS• Deep understanding of 4G/5G mobile networks, E2E optimization, and network design• Strong grasp of 3GPP standards-and how to apply them in real-world implementations
Networking & Protocols• Signaling-Plane and User-Plane analysis (familiar with major monitoring systems and Wireshark)• TCP/QUIC protocol knowledge• Routing and switching expertise
Data & Analysis• Data analytics skills: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Parquet, etc), MySQL, Excel, Tableau• Comfortable translating data into actionable insights
Bonus Points If You Have:- Experience defining new business models- Design Thinking knowledge and rapid prototyping experience- Hands-on experience building cloud infrastructure and NFV (Network Function Virtualization)- 5+ years in technology leadership roles- Background in system testing & troubleshooting- Knowledge Cloud & Virtualization,- Knowledge of virtualization techniques- Routing and Switching Certifications (Ericsson or Cisco)
Future-Ready Skills (Highly Valued):• AI/ML & Automation: Familiarity with AIOps, machine learning for network optimization, and intelligent automation tools• Python/Scripting: Programming skills for automation and data analysis• Cloud-Native Expertise: Experience with multi-cloud environments, microservices, and cloud-native network functions (CNF)• Emerging Tech: Knowledge of network slicing, edge computing, and intent-based networking• Security Forward: Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and modern security frameworks• Continuous Learner: Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt new technologies and methodologies
