We at Ericsson are excited to present this opportunity for an Automated Operations Engineer. This role is critical to our operations, filled with responsibilities that aim to ensure our customers continuously enjoy services performing at utmost efficiency.The role will be the business responsible for all Meta's products (SKUs) for the MNA and mPOP program approved by the Global HCP Program. The role will be accountable to configure, test and integrate products to be deployed part of the capacity HCP program.Technical engineer, the role, will work with vendors, program and project managers, quality manager and other stakeholders to deliver quality products for MNA and mPOP program from ESH Pune plant.
What you will do:
• Configure Servers and Network Switches for MNA and mPOP orders• Integrate racks with server, network switches, power distribution switches for mPOP• Low voltage cabling for connectivity of servers and switches as per design documents• Troubleshoot errors during configuration and integration of products. Work with OEM manufacturers to address all hardware issues• Address all RMA cases during producing SKUs for the program• Responsible for the timely and quality execution of customer orders and deployment projects, ensuring deliverables meet contractual SLAs.• Own project execution status, drive resolution of open issues, and manage stakeholder expectations.• Work cross-functionally with order management, supply chain, and field teams to ensure seamless execution.• Identify risks, escalate blockers, and implement mitigation plans.• Track KPIs and drive adherence to SLA, continuously identifying opportunities for process optimization.• Ensure project deployments are aligned with Ericsson's Operational Model (EOM) or manage required exemptions.• Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting obligations for mPOP and MNA programs, tracking performance metrics, and identifying improvement areas.• Enhance local execution control, ensure robust RCA processes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
The skills you bring:
• Server hardware: Must have demonstrated working experience with servers e.g. HPE/Dell hardware and its components. Ideally, a Unix/Linux System administrator with hardware skills, knowledge and experience. Redhat or Solaris certification is a plus for this role• Working experience with switches and routers such as Cisco/Juniper/Aruba switches. Ability to configure and troubleshoot during configuration of the equipment. Industry certifications in these products for example CCNA is a big plus for this role• Cabling (working knowledge of with low voltage cabling for servers and switches)• Troubleshooting and diagnostics of hardware and software working with OEM manufacturers during the troubleshooting phase• Having basic scripting skills using Python/CLI• Strong customer orientation and stakeholder communication• Risk identification, escalation handling, and issue resolution• Proficiency in performance tracking and KPI monitoring• Deep understanding of supply chain operations• Familiarity with Ericsson internal processes and managed services• Flexibility to work across global time zones and high-volume rollout environments• Familiarity with Data centre IT architecture
