Your Position
As a Solution Architect you translate customer requirements into a system specifications set. Starting with the operational concept, you draw up system requirements. You will be responsible for monitoring the consistency of the system concept and system demands during project realization. You will be responsible to manage customer expectations of system capabilities. Furthermore you will be responsible for the performance of the compliancy analysis and compare project requirements versus product specifications. You will also be responsible for creating the operational concept (system design), system test and acceptance, managing consistency between system design and mono disciplinary design e.g. HLC, LLC, advise on alternative solutions, taking project impact (cost, risk, time) into considerations, tutors new engineers and update the feedback about the customer requirements and long term strategies into product development and roadmap steering groups.
In the delivery phase of the project, you participate in operational training and process improvement. After delivery of the system, you enable the knowledge transfer at Engineering level and propose improvements for work methods, concepts and architecture. You also co-operate in tender courses in the field of system concept and technology choices. Depending on your experience you will manage projects with regular size and complexity to very large and complex projects.
Your Department
The System Integration department is part of the business unit Airports within Vanderlande and is responsible for the system design, testing, and integration of complex Baggage handling systems worldwide. The integration of all components (mechanical, electronic, LLC software, HLC software and IT) into a working system according to specifications is especially challenging for large and complex airports.
Your Profile
- You have a Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant working experience
- You are a visionary in the field of process automation
- You have knowledge and experience with system engineering (requirement management, build strategy and change management)
- You have a “helicopter view”
- You are conceptually orientated
- Knowledge of controls tools and methodology
- Good command of English
- You are willing to travel for about 30% of the time
