About this opportunity:
Join our team at Ericsson as a Solution Architect - Packet Core, a senior technical role with accountability for end-to-end optimization, KPI improvement and complex troubleshooting of Ericsson's packet core and 5G core networks. The role provides technical leadership across customer engagements, ensures network performance and stability and drives improvements across the PS core domain in alignment with Ericsson's standards and ways of working.
What You Will Do
- Take end-to-end technical accountability for packet core optimization and KPI improvement.
- Analyze network KPIs, traffic patterns and subscriber behaviour and define and drive corrective actions.
- Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across MME, EPG, SGW, PGW, HSS, SAPC, WMG, DSC and 5GC functions.
- Drive permanent solutions for major incidents and recurring performance issues.
- Plan and optimize packet core capacity and performance based on traffic growth and customer needs.
- Perform QoS, parameter and capacity audits, including tuning and optimization actions.
- Provide technical governance for upgrades, new features and new node introductions from a performance perspective.
- Work across RAN, IP, Cloud, and OSS domains to drive end-to-end network performance improvement.
- Lead customer technical discussions related to KPIs, performance and optimization outcomes.
- Provide technical input to RFP and pre-sales activities related to packet core optimization.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in packet core and 5G core optimization and troubleshooting.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Ericsson packet core and 5G Core, including MME, EPG, SAPC/PCF, SGW, PGW, HSS, and 5GC network functions.
- Proven experience in KPI analysis, performance improvement, and capacity optimization.
- End-to-end understanding of packet core interaction with RAN and IP Core networks.
- Experience with cloud, VNF and CNF is essential and 5G core experience would be preferred.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and guide engineers in complex situations.
- Strong customer communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Very good command of the English language.
