Alpha Tech Services 

As technology specialists, ATC: 

  • Provide knowledgeable resources who can implement, configure and support the major platforms used by our clients
  • Form a range of partnerships with key vendors to position itself as a preferred implementation partner for major business applications
  • Assist clients with their journey to the next generation of cloud-based architectures
  • Help clients to define and implement their future state data architectures
  • Help clients with bespoke development that complements their core application architecture
  • Provide knowledgeable and client-focused support for client’s major applications, including upgrades, migrations and business-as-usual issue management 

ATC resources will be: 

  • Able to implement, configure and support key business applications
  • Able to build out and implement data management strategies across client organizations
  • Able to undertake bespoke development, including of key data interfaces 
Role Responsibilities

In your role as a Solution Architect, you will:

  • Define and lead delivery of system level solutions for technical and business problems on behalf of our clients, managing an implementation team of experienced developers and technical consultants.
  • Lead the technical development of Enterprise Data Management system capabilities (Master Data Management, Reconciliations, Data warehousing, Data integrations, Data Quality, Reporting & BI), supporting the design and configuration of the integrations across these systems.
  • Provide industry-specific advisory on operationalizing data and data quality/validation workflows
  • Translate business and technical requirements into solution designs, including definition of required work packages and resourcing.
  • Support our clients in improving and optimizing their operating models, including resource management, technology architecture and business process.
  • Use your knowledge of the vendor and tool landscape, both within our client’s technology stacks and the broader market to design appropriate solutions.
  • Define and socialise technical approaches for implementation, eg SDLC, data migration, integrations, influencing client teams to your best practise perspective.
  • Input to project definition, resourcing and timelines and objectives within a workstream or project.
  • Drive the documentation and development according to specifications and standards.
  • Present options and designs to business and technology stakeholders, articulating Alpha’s IP in business process design and technical delivery to clients at all levels.
  • Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with internal and client peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required.
  • Support Alpha’s internal IP with proposition and accelerator development, including at least one area of specific expertise
  • Take a lead in mentoring and coaching team members.

Role Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications):

    • Experience in the Asset & Wealth Management industry
    • Have 5+ years of experience in years of experience with domain expertise across Master Data Management, Reconciliations, and Enterprise Data Management functions as well as associated data and technology architecture
    • Hands-on configuration and implementation experience with 1 or more of the following: MarkitEDM, GoldenSource, NeoXam, Finbourne, IBOR/ABOR platforms
    • Experience with financial service data entities and data modelling
    • Experience in data mining, profiling, and analysis.
    • Ability to design scalable and reliable data architectures.
    • Experience managing projects using Agile or other methodologies.
    • Experience with back-end programming languages and frameworks - SQL, Python, C#, .NET, Java, etc.
    • Experience managing teams on implementations, and broader talent development
    • Experience in leading and successfully delivering complex implementations
    • Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) languages like Python, Ruby, Java, or similar language preferred.
    • Understanding of financial technology vendors and data elements similar to Bloomberg, Blackrock Aladdin, MarkitEDM, Eagle, Simcorp or Charles River.

    • Experience with 1 or more of the following platforms as an advantage:
      • Master Data Management platforms: MarkitEDM, Semarchy, Profisee Boomi, NeoXam, GoldenSource, Eagle
      • Data Integrations / ETL: FiveTran, Workato, Talend, Boomi, Azure Data Factory, SnapLogic
      • Data platforms: Snowflake, Data Bricks, SQL Server, DBT
      • Reporting & BI: Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, Azure Fabrics
      • Cloud: Azure, AWS, GCP

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the range is $160,000 and $185,000 subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, employees would be eligible for both variable and non-variable benefits.
