Solidworks Mechanical Designer

Location: Philippines (Remote)

Schedule: EST working hours

We are seeking an experienced SolidWorks Mechanical Designer to design and draft process gas equipment including dampers, expansion joints, ductwork, silencers, stacks, and support towers. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to challenging mechanical and structural engineering projects. You will work closely with the drafting, engineering, and project management teams to ensure all designs are delivered on time and meet stringent functionality and performance requirements.

• Create parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.

• Modify .dxf and .dwg files using DraftSight.

• Prepare fabrication packages using Adobe and Excel.

• Contribute innovative solutions to complex mechanical and structural design challenges.

• Conduct system design and analysis to ensure functionality and performance meet project requirements.

• Collaborate with drafting, engineering, and project management teams.

• Ensure on-time delivery of all projects.

• 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing.

• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and/or structural design.

• 5 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks.

• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, focusing on sheet metal components, weldments, and large/complex assemblies with moving parts.

• Experience using AutoCAD or DraftSight.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with advanced sheet metal design and complex weldments.

• Knowledge of mechanical stress analysis or FEA (Finite Element Analysis).

• Familiarity with industry-specific codes and standards beyond basic sheet metal practices.

• Exposure to design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly processes.

• Experience collaborating with international clients or multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

• Basic programming or automation experience in SolidWorks (DriveWorks and macros).
