ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll be able to do:
Software Validation Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Lead Software Validation testing, analysis, and reporting for production and experimental software. Develop comprehensive and robust verification methods (DVMs) supporting both software integration testing and requirement validation. Implement DVMs in an automated HIL environment using Python-based test scripts. Develop automated analysis and reporting methods using Python and MATLAB. Maintain feature-specific requirements traceability matrix. Maintain test scripts in the version control system. Solve embedded system faults, including hardware, software, and test bench related functionality.
QualificationsYou'll have...
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Testing and validating Automotive Embedded controllers against technical specifications and functional requirements. 2. Testing and debugging Automotive Communication systems, including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet, ensuring robust inter-module communication. 3. Validating Battery Management Systems & controls to verify state estimation accuracy and functional safety compliance. 4. Conducting Hardware-In-Loop testing to evaluate Embedded Controls behavior with real-world inputs to simulate test scenarios to ensure full functionality. 5. Utilizing Python and Test Automation tools to automate test case execution and process complex data logs. 6. Analyzing electrical circuits and their operation to troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues. 7. Applying Data Analysis and Software debugging skills to identify root causes of failures and verify defect resolutions.
We are offering a salary of $83,909.76 - $192,925.08/yr.
