About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software & System Quality Assurance Manager to drive product quality, safety, cybersecurity, supplier quality, and regulatory compliance across Dyson's portfolio of connected products, including embedded systems, electronics, IoT devices, mobile applications, cloud platforms, and robotics.
You will provide independent quality oversight throughout the product development lifecycle, partnering with Engineering, Product Security, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and external suppliers to ensure products are delivered with the highest standards of quality, safety, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Software & Electronics Quality Assurance activities across the full product lifecycle.
- Establish and govern quality processes, release readiness criteria, and milestone quality gates.
- Review and approve key development deliverables including requirements, architecture, risk assessments, verification and validation evidence, test reports, and release packages.
- Drive Software Supplier Quality Management for JDMs, and external development partners, including process assessments, quality reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support product safety and risk management activities, ensuring quality and compliance requirements are integrated throughout development.
- Partner with Product Security teams to oversee secure development practices, vulnerability management, SAST/SCA assessments, SBOM governance, and cybersecurity compliance activities.

- Support manufacturing readiness, product launches, and OTA software releases.
Requirements
Essential
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in Software Quality Assurance, Product Quality, Software Development, Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience with embedded systems, electronics, IoT products, connected devices, cloud platforms, and/or robotics.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, verification & validation, defect management, risk management, and release governance.
- Experience managing software suppliers, ODMs, JDMs, or outsourced development partners.
- Good understanding of electronics systems, sensors, control systems, wireless technologies, and system integration.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred
- Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, robotics, or connected product development.
- Knowledge of product cybersecurity, secure development lifecycle, vulnerability management, and SBOM governance.
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance, certification, or audit activities.
