As a Software Test Engineer within Cyber Technology Integration Services (CTIS), you will play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality outcomes across complex security and digital identity projects.

Working closely with architects, engineers and business analysts, you will design and execute robust testing activities across integrated solutions and platforms. You will help ensure software quality across fast-paced, multi-disciplinary delivery teams while contributing to continuous improvement of testing practices and automation capability.

This role is suited to a detail-oriented, autonomous problem solver who can break down complex features into logically testable components and advocate for quality outcomes.

You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance and complete a National Police Check.

YOU’LL

• Develop test cases based on requirements, user stories and solution documentation
• Execute manual test cases and document results with clear traceability and evidence
• Raise detailed defect tickets with clear reproduction steps and supporting artefacts
• Support investigation, resolution and retesting of defects with engineering teams
• Contribute to test plans, execution schedules and scope coverage
• Produce formal testing documentation including Test Summary Reports and status updates
• Support test readiness activities including test data preparation and environment validation
• Execute integration testing across internal and third-party systems
• Contribute to automated test suite development (e.g. Playwright, Selenium) to support regression and repeatable quality checks
• Participate in defect triage sessions, stand-ups and delivery checkpoints
• Contribute to uplift initiatives across the CTIS testing function through reusable assets and improved test approaches

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 2+ years’ experience as a Software Test Engineer across software products or projects
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar ticket management systems
• Experience working in cross-functional delivery teams alongside architects and engineers
• Strong problem-solving capability within fast-paced development environments
• Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery models
• Strong understanding of modern online user experience best practices
• High attention to detail and structured documentation capability
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with end-to-end test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Selenium) highly regarded
• Technical background to support defect triage and investigation desirable
• Understanding of secure software development practices advantageous
