Job Description: Software Test Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements to prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute manual and automated test cases to validate application functionality.
- Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Review requirements and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
- Create and maintain test documentation, test plans, and test reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure applications meet quality standards before deployment.
- Support production issue analysis and verification when required.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in Manual Testing and defect tracking tools.
- Knowledge of Test Case Design Techniques.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Understanding of API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills (For Automation Testing)
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or Cypress.
- Knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in Software Testing (Automation).
- ISTQB Certification is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
